Today's Class and Tonight's Homework 9/15/15

Agenda: 1) Warm-Up - Please write a response in your JOURNAL to the prompt below: You’re walking through the woods and you’re stopped by a little leprechaun. He tells you that it’s your lucky day because since you found him in the woods you’re entitled to his entire pot of gold worth one million dollars. You’re ecstatic; you’re jumping all around;you can’t help bu think how awesome you truly are. And then it happens – the leprechaun tells you you can either have it but you are to give it awat to family and friends and cannot reap any benefits from it OR you can burn the money so no one can have it but everyone will know you chose not to share the money with them. What would you do? 2) Conflict Notes 3) Short Story - "The Lady or the Tiger" by: Frank Stockton. Today we will begin our first short story together. As a class, we will read it once through and then it is your responsibility to go back and dialogue with the text. The dialoging will take a few days with an accountable talk activity at the end of it! Enjoy the story...it's one of my favorites!! Homework: Reminder! Word work words due tomorrow (5 words and original definitions written in the WW section of your binder) The one word representation (Step 3 on the direction sheet) will be done in class tomorrow! Also, Finish Dialoging the front of the first page of "The Lady Or The Tiger" for class tomorrow
