2.) Forging ahead with our 3 paragraph essay!
Finish organizing your research into your graphic organizer. Next, begin writing/typing a working rough draft for class tomorrow. We will use this rough draft for a peer edit activity. What does this REALLY mean?
**You need to make sure you have all three paragraphs on your paper (not looking for "completed" paragraphs)
** I'm looking for your hook/grabber sentence and your thesis in the intro paragraph
**I'm looking for the answers to your research questions (why endangered?, what are we doing to help?) in the body paragraphs
**I'm looking for a closing/clincher sentence
This is a ROUGH rough draft....which is OK! The peer edit will help a ton tomorrow!!
A few DO NOTS
*DO NOT hand your graphic organizer to your peer editor tomorrow
*DO NOT hand your cell phone to your peer editor tomorrow to read your draft on googledocs, they can't write on your phone! :)
